Day 10 - December 29, 2007

So today is the day, first set went well and put me on track to get up there I needed ($7.60 across 16 games so $0.475 per game) and the first set went like: 6, 6, 2, 4, 5, 1= +$3.60 ($0.60 per game)

Unfortunately the second set was a bummer...5, 4, 6, 4, 8, 1 = -$5.40

So net that together and that's -1.80 on the day so that puts me at a must win of $9.40 to reach the goal in 4 games...

Some hypotheticals...4 games = -13.60 in buyins which means I need 23 in winnings... that comes from a win and a 2nd or two 2nds and a third...shrug, it will be hard but I'm determined...

Booo: 5, 9, 7, 6...made a questionable push with an overpair and guy luckboxed his straight on the turn, then got so titled from everything else...oh and obvioulsy kings no good for a/k...missed the goal :(

SNGs Played - 100
Total Entry Fee - ($340.00)
Winnings - $402.00
Net - $62.00
ROI - 18.23%

Still, I'm ok with these results. I profitted and completed this challenge in only 10 days, so I know I have what it takes to grind. My new goal is to work my way up to $300 and immediately switch over to grinding the $6.50s and then try and work my way back up the ladder. itsa nice

Day 9 - December 28, 2007

Day off, will finish the goal tomorrow

Thursday, December 27, 2007

Day 8 - December 27, 2007

Wow just had an amazing set where I got deep in all 6 tournaments. It was quite hectic playing headsup, three-handed, or on the bubble and I think my lack of concentration per game prevented me from abusing stacks and closing any tournmanets still though great results: 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2 = $21.60 = 105.88% ROI, so sick haha

2nd set was just grossness in poker form don't even know... 4, 4, 6, 6, 10, 3 = -$14.40

3rd set I profitted, but still think I ran undervalue and just should've been better blah: 5, 7, 5, 5, 1, 3 = $0.60 lol its so clutch to win tournaments

lol net for the day of $7.80 = 12.74%

SNGs Played - 84
Total Entry Fee - ($285.60)
Winnings - $363.00
Net - $77.40
ROI - 27.1%

I'm $7.60 away from my goal. I'll be finishing the goal tomorrow well ahead of schedule, so it will be nice to know that I can play 100sngs in 9 days which is sickness...good luck self

Day 7 - December 26, 2007

Day Off!!!

Day 6 - December 25, 2007

Don't remember much from these sessions, other than that I probably ran way under expected and got sucked out on like a bazillion times, lol = 6, 6, 5, 8, 9, 1 (a win to ship me from almost losing it all) = -$5.40 = -26.47%

Second set I think I was doing better than what my results indicate and didn't close out tourneys I shoulda won = 8, 5, 5, 1, 3, 3...yea two 3rd places is just garbage and those really hurt me and just add no value = +6.60 = 32%

SNGs Played - 66
Total Entry Fee - ($224.40)
Winnings - $294.00
Net - $69.60
ROI - 31.01%

Running Bad

This is a moan post to myself...over the past 30 games I've ran so under performance, so I'm going to net my positive suckouts vs. those who've sucked out against me to get a running total of the differences between percentages...

Day 5 - December 24, 2007

Well my losing streak continued, man I just ran like crap...literally lost so many 70/30s it was rediculous and I'm pretty sure I've lost my last 3 aces allin so sick...

My first set was the worst ever and I just could not complete anything so sick: 5, 5, 5, 7, 9, 3 = -$14.40

Second set started out just as poorly, but I rebounded, I should've closed two tourneys, but only one this time, but fortunately profitted to stop my last two straight losing sets: 7, 5, 8, 6, 1, 2 = +$3.60

SNGs Played - 54
Total Entry Fee - ($183.60)
Winnings - $252.00
Net - $68.40
ROI - 37.25%

Day 4 - December 23, 2007

Well I just barely squeaked a profit...I didn't take down any tournaments and that was the difference in me only making a small margin...but still I have yet to have a losing set...*cross fingers*

1st set: 6, 4, 4, 3, 2, 2 = $3.60 17.6%

Wow, way to jinx yourself buddy, I just got destroyed, boo I don't even know what happened, it started by going out on the first hand to a turned flush, blah I hate this, I'm still fine, but just frustrating to have my first losing set after 7...lol still running well and well on track
5, 6, 10, 4, 6, 2 = -$11.40

SNGs Played - 42
Total Entry Fee - ($142.80)
Winnings - $222.00
Net - $79.20
ROI - 55.32%

Day 3 - December 22, 2007

Started off with my first set running very badly. I lost so many 70/30s it was rediculous. I didn't think I was going to profit, but somehow I managed to run well in the rest and make some money. I made one terrible call where I was 30/70 and flopped a flush draw, but obvioulsy don't hit it: 8, 6, 7, 1, 2, 2 = +$12.60 which is actually really good and well over my target ROI of 25%

2nd set was alright, I was completely going to take 70% of the chips in play when I had a set, but I got flushed out on the river, but I'm consistently at 50% ITM, this time only shipped one tourney, but.... 5, 5, 8 (where I should've had all the chips essentially in the first level), 3, 3, 1...it's so essential to get a first, because that get's you 75% of your buyin back and then you only need to get a 3rd to profit = $6.60 = 32.35% ROI, which is still money lol

3rd set...I DESTROYED, best set I've ever played. Just shipped so many and was worried at the very beginning that I wouldn't make that much profit...I'll let the results talk for themselves...5, 4, 1, 1, 1, 2...yes I shipped three tourneys and almost a 4th one...the main difference now is that I'm taking down tourneys, not just placing 3rd or 2nd...winning is so clutch... +$33.60 lol = 164%

SNGs Played - 30
Total Entry Fee - ($102.00)
Winnings - $189.00
Net - $87.00
ROI - 85.29%

So rediculous, I'm running HOTT!! (yes two t's)....
*edit* I am at my net profit goal of making $85 in just a third the amount of time...haha I'm going to try and make so much...it would be so ideal if I could get my bankroll back over $300...restructuring time...I'm killing them

Day 2 - Friday, December 21

Had a late night session that I thought was going to be pretty bad after runing poorly 10s < k/10 on the river. Man pokerstars you just have to catch cards right at the end, I feel like there is more play/time at Full Tilt, but I'm still crushing the results look like... 7, 6, 4, 1, 1, 2...lol two firsts again so that is... $18.60 profit lol killing it haha

SNGs Played - 12
Total Entry Fee - ($40.80)
Winnings - $75.00
Net - $34.20
ROI - 83.82%

Running hot + taking 1st in tourneys, is so clutch and nice...ship it...at this rate I'm looking at $285 profit...very nice

Day 1 - Thursday, December 20

Started off 6-tabling and made a bad push on the bubble from the SB to the only person who could bust me so I should've done better: 6, 5, 4, 1, 1, 3...I got really lucky to take down two tourneys, but it for sure feels nice

SNGs Played - 6
Total Entry Fee - ($20.40)
Winnings - $36.00
Net - $15.60
ROI - 76.47%

Winter Break Goal

Well, on winter break and I want to get some good poker in so I'm setting a 100 sng goal for myself. This should revitalize my bankroll and hopefully get me back into the swing of 6/9-tabling so we'll see. I have until like January 15th to complete this goal so thats like 26 days so a little less than 4 sngs a day. I'm setting a goal for myself of a 25% ROI so monetarily that works out to $85 ($340 total entry * 25% = $85 net)

I'll track my progress here...yay!

PS, FYI: As of December 20, 2007 (the beginning of this challenge) my Sharkscope graph had me at about $495 in profit,I want to peak over $600 by the end of this challenge (may involve playing more than 100 games)
